‘The Voyager’

Chance Peña (2026)

This is one of those songs that is just impossible to fully capture in words. To me, it is almost transcendent! It brings me into the present moment yet also takes me away from reality. I first listened to it on the train through France, watching the countryside go by, and it stirred powerful emotions in me. He writes such mature, sensitive and nuanced lyrics, and these, combined with the music, form an incredibly moving song. There is also something about his music that makes me feel closer to nature and the simple things, which I think is a result of his folk style.
